For centuries the residence of the local landlords, Casa Cappellezzi is situated at 1,900 ft. above sea level (600m), in a very favorable location, on a sunny hilltop overlooking a beautiful park. The house is built on a solid rocky plateau and is featured on ancient topographic maps, dating back to 1300 A.D., displayed in the "Hall of Maps" of Rome's Vatican Museums.

During the latest restoration efforts in the late 90's, Casa Cappellezzi has been outfitted with the most modern amenities such as central heating, new plumbing, satellite TV, modern appliances, telephone, internet, shaded carport and a beautiful swimming pool, providing comfortable "Italian-style" living in a historical setting.

Casa Cappellezzi is a solid construction with thick rock walls, massive wood beams and wood ceilings which insulate the living quarters from cold winters and summer heat. The house has been completely restored and features a rare rock-slab roof which maintains intact the original historic charm. Over the centuries, Casa Cappellezzi has been expanded to incorporate new additions and has today a very pleasent and harmonious layout which includes a small open-sky inner patio a large vaulted cellar, a hayloft and the old stables which have been converted into a cozy loft.
